This Hitachi air compressor is powered by a 2 hp, 115-volt direct-drive motor and oil lube pump at 3,450 rpm. The motor is engineered to run at 14.5 amps, so it won't overheat electrical circuits. It features vertically stacked twin tanks (each with a 2-gallon capacity), line regulator, shutoff valve at line, auto reset, capacitor start, run class F motor, and pressure switch set at 125 psi kick-off, 100 psi kick-on. It delivers 4.1 cfm of free air, at 90 psi.

I have had this unit for several weeks now, and have had my expectations exceeded. The unit has no difficulty running on a 15 amp circuit in my house with older wiring.
(I was expecting many trips to the breaker box - I have yet to trip one.)

The regulator stem is in an exposed position where it could be damaged/broken off if struck hard enough or handled carelessly, and the unit is every bit as loud as I expected (invest in some good earplugs) but still, I am extremely pleased my decision to go with this unit.

This becomes the third Hitachi tool product I have purchased, and the quality of their products continues to impress me.

I did alot of checking on compressors and everyone really liked the Hitachi. I think its a great unit at a very good price. I placed my order on a Sunday and got it on the following Friday.
